This is a fun cooking experience where the focus is on having a great time and preparing some tasty Mexican dishes to share as a team.
There’s a common perception that Mexican food is super spicy and heavy but, in fact, true Mexican food has both a depth of flavour – with its combination of savoury and earthy flavours – and a fresh lightness from its generous use of fresh herbs, vegetables and citrus.
Authentic Mexican food is vibrant, delicious, fresh and fun.
It is also colourful, spicy and uses an amazing array of chillies, both fresh and dried. Many ingredients are readily available everywhere, such as tomatoes, limes, coriander, red onion, avocado, and corn, and specialty ingredients are becoming more readily available in Australia and elsewhere.
To kick off the event, the group gets a briefing from our head chef before being assigned a work station.
Working in small teams to create a 3-course meal, teams begin prep for dishes that include Pulled Pork Empanadas, Corn Tortillas, Tomatillo salsa with avocado, Drunken Chicken and Mexican Rice Pilaf.

The kitchen is a specialist group cooking kitchen with two spaces and an al-fresco BBQ area with brand new, state of the art appliances by Fisher and Paykel, Breville and complimented with products by Anolon.
Conveniently located in Neutral Bay opposite The Oaks Hotel and just a 10-minute drive from the CBD.
Beverage packages are available or you can BYO drinks to the kitchen.
If you really want to spice up your Mexican Fiesta we can theme the kitchen to include sombreros for everyone and a live mariachi band.
The food is then served for everyone to share in a casual format.
