MTV Team Experience

Objective

Being such an iconic, exciting brand MTV asked us to customise an experience that reflected this, with a goal to engage staff through collaborating in a large scale team challenge.

Solution

“This was a genuinely terrifying experience, not just for the 100 people from MTV but for me as one of the Hidden Door event crew!”

We chose Surry Hills as the destination, creating a series of dares and challenges that children’s nightmares are made of.

We made the IT clown look like a toy poodle in comparison. Zombie Runs and half-fertilised egg-eating checkpoints were just the start of it!

With actors and actresses set up throughout the course, this was an entirely immersive event for all attendees. Reality was questioned.

The girl who crawls out the the TV set in The Ring emerged from a hidden room in a warehouse at one point. The collective shreik from the first team that saw this still reverberates around my skull.

Silent disco’s, snake handling, crazed buskers…this event isn’t for the faint-hearted but thankfully the awesome crew at MTV brought strong minds and even stronger stomachs.

What an epic experience!

Hidden Door completely nailed our team building brief! Our staff were buzzing at the end of the day & were still sharing stories & photos on Monday morning. It certainly wasn’t your average team building exercise, especially seeing staff dressed up as Zombies, Doctors,Undertakers, Zombie Brides & Goths while running around Surry Hills, but I can’t recommend the team higher if you are looking for a creative way to get people to bond & work together as a team.

Hidden Door were also great in organising a plan B when the weather went south, they took all the pressure off me & got it sorted which resulted in the event going off without a hitch. I’m sure our staff will be talking about this event for some time, but best of all, we can already see improved & new relationships within the business between our teams & brands. Thanks team, love your work!
