Bikes 4 Tykes Charity Team Building Activity

One of our most successful experiences for over 15 years that has resulted in over 3500 bikes being donated to charity.

That’s 3500 smiling faces.

Bikes 4 Tykes is a fun team building experience where teams ultimately build bikes that go to kids being supported by our charity partners.

Teams of 4-6 people are assigned a bike frame and must battle other teams in multiple rounds to earn parts for their bike, and bike tools, along with points that go to their team tally.

Entertaining and highly rewarding, Bikes 4 Tykes is the ideal team CSR experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

All bikes get checked over by our bike mechanics before making their way to some happy families.
Are there kids there to accept the bikes on the day?

  • CHALLENGES
  • All of the challenges are bike-related to keep in theme. Work up a sweat in Pump up the Jam and Pedal Power while you can flex your brainpower challenges like Bike Trivia and Bucket-Head.

The purpose is to be social, start laughing and connect with those in the room. Team scores are tallied at the halfway point so that teams can begin building their bike based on how they are ranked on the leaderboard.

The final 30 minutes is where the hard work pays off and teams begin to build their bike.

If you aren’t handy with the tools or can’t build Ikea furniture, don’t sweat it, our team are onsite to help you along the way but we’ll also have a bike mechanic give each bike a thorough check before they go their new recipients.

To conclude the experience we share some photos and letters of kids receiving their bikes in the past before sending the bikes off to their new homes. As a thank you, you’ll receive a letter of thanks from the charity along with photos from the day.

  • GIVING BACK
  • Hidden Door Experiences are proud to partner with Weave in Sydney where the majority of the bikes are donated to assist families living throughout Sydney.

Before each event we discuss with Weave what size bikes they require to ensure there is an immediate need.  After each event, our bike mechanic checks and repairs each bike thoroughly before we transport them to Weave to be distributed.

If you have a charity of choice that you would like the bikes donated to, we’re more than happy so please chat with our team.

  • VENUES
  • We can set-up in most venues providing there’s enough space for teams and bikes to move around in.  We can happily suggest venues and spaces that work well for Bikes 4 Tykes.

The ideal set-up is no furniture, a blank space, so we can bring in bike stands and equipment with plenty of room for people.

Bikes for Tykes is a rewarding team building activity that suits people of all ages and fitness levels and is ideal as a team activity, conference breakout or as an alternative Christmas party experience. No venue? No worries.  Bikes 4 Tykes can also be delivered outdoors so speak to our team about how we can get you building bikes in the sunshine.
