The Kirby Institute ‘Farewell to Coogee’

To deliver a full day of memorable experiences for 45 people as they bid farewell to Coogee and relocate to the CBD.

We created a day teeming with awesome experiences, covering health, fun, creativity, charity and of course, cocktails!

We lucked out with the weather, and began with a Yoga Class looking out over the ocean in the summer sunshine (just before the heat go too many sweating!).

Suitably stretched, we walked over to the beach to enjoy a beautifully healthy breakfast and mobile juice bar courtesy of our British Chef Jackie!

Graffiti was next on the agenda, giving the opportunity for a group of academics to unleash their creative skills onto canvas with the help our trusty street artists.

Everyone was clearly soaking up the beach vibes before Sydney’s ‘concrete jungle’ beckons.

After a picnic lunch, we designed an Amazing Race-style event to incorporated some of the most iconic landmarks and activities, including an amazing donation of team-decorated pot plants to the Prince of Wales Hospital.

Champagne and Devonshire tea were waiting for teams at the finish-line, and once they’d completed video farewells to Coogee and had some well deserved downtime, we ventured to the Australian Museum.

This provided an epic setting for a Heston Blumenthal-esque cocktail class and a perfect ending to what was an EPIC farewell to Coogee.
